DEFINITIONS:

What is Reposition in relation to our work? This is when we work with a club to facilitate an audit of their operating model and performance. 2: What is Repurpose in relation to our work? This is when we are approached by a club who have available land, or there is an aspiration from the club to remodel their current land to free up a portion of their land to use for alternative purposes. Recent examples are clubs who have sought planning for a new driving range, lodges, paddle tennis, or remodeled their course slightly to free up land for development. The business case is always inspected to ensure any repurpose is done to strengthen the club’s business.

What is Relocation in relation to our work? This is where a club aspires to move to a new site. The potential of building a purpose-built facility that is modern, progressive, and potentially a much safer venue is growing in appeal.

When you say Custodian Golf are independent, can you explain further? Custodian would be solely working on behalf of the club. They have a significant network in all areas of any potential project, from course and facilities construction, architecture, and design through to every part of the planning process. Regardless of this, it would always fall to the club to have the final say on who was engaged. Custodian would work to deliver a transparent purchasing or engagement strategy to ensure there is integrity-based decision making throughout.

When you say “Putting Back Better”, can you expand? Fundamentally, we want to help clubs modernise, grow their facilities, and increase participation. Each project will be different with varying objectives. From helping to repositioning, repurposing or relocating, our aim is to facilitate the club’s evolution.
